A History of Supreme's Artist Collaborations

If there is one thing that makes Supreme a great brand, besides the clothes, it's its collaborations with artists. Here we'll guide you through the history of Supreme's artists collaborations, showing you the best ones over the years.

1. Rammellzee

Rammellzee was the first graffiti artist who has been involved with Supreme since day one and his work with the brand has become some of the rarest and hardest to buy. His art is typically full of robots and images of B-boys in an apocalyptic sense. Supreme and Rammallzee's relationship ran right up until his death in 2010.

2. KAWS

American graffiti artist KAWS first collaborated with Supreme in 2001. The two sides used KAWS's iconic Michelin motif as the theme, complemented by Supreme's classic red hue, and sold over 150 pieces. This skateboard has been worth $6,000 in 2014. Since then,Supreme and KAWS have also cooperated many times. In 2008, Kaws, Kate Moss and Supreme jointly released a T-Shirt. In 2011, Original Fake and Supreme jointly created the T-Shirt, signed by KAWS, re-worked Supreme's logo in graffiti throw-up.

3. Peter Saville

If you ran out to cop the Power, Corruption, Lies collection this past spring, then you've enjoyed Peter Saville's artwork. But the British artist's work has also been used by Supreme on two other occasions. His artwork for the Joy Division album and for New Order's single "Blue Monday" have also been used by Supreme. Each collaboration and piece of art invokes a different emotion and sentiment, which is what makes this ongoing partnership so successful and coveted.

4.Larry Clark

Larry Clark is most known for his film Kids, but he also tends to creep people out with his sexual portrayals of youth culture, and he didn't disappoint with his Supreme collaboration. He shot an X-rated calendar for Supreme in 2005 and also did a "Teenage Lust" T-shirt for Supreme which featured a naked couple.As part of the 2015 collaboration, Supreme and Larry Clark presented a capsule collection celebrating the 20th anniversary of Kids.

5.Keo TC5

The name Keo TC5 might not ring bells, but the artist is most known as the dude who designed MF Doom's legendary mask. He didn't do any Doom-related work for Supreme, but he did design the artwork for Supreme's Loosies, Rosary, and Jail "Cartoon Hands" pieces. We wouldn't mind seeing a Doom photo tee, though.

6. Roy Lichtenstein

Roy Lichtenstein was an American pop artist and was a leading figure in the new art movement alongside Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, and James Rosenquist, among others. The Roy Lichtenstein and Supreme hook up saw a tribute to the artist's work. This came at a time when big and bold prints ruled streetwear and the Supreme collab was no different. Supreme's longsleeve T-shirts that were produced with Lichtenstein were covered with sobbing women who were painted in bright colours.

7.David Lynch

David Lynch is one of the coolest collaborations artists that Supreme has chosen over the years. He has been hailed as one of the most important directors of his era, while he has also been dubbed as the first ever popular Surrealist, bringing the genre to the fore. In 2011, Supreme partnered with David Lynch on the T-shirt collection, where two T-shirts were designed by David Lynch and presented his self-portrait and still image from Lynch's film Blue Velvet. 8.Terry Richardson

Kermit the Frog is a well-known puppet character in the Sesame Street Children's Education TV show in the United States. This frog can wear the Brooks Brothers suit and appear on the sweater of the fashion brand Jean Charles de Castelbajac that proves he has such extraordinary charm and popularity.
In 2008, Supreme used it to the streets, wearing the brand classic Box Logo Tee, and cooperated with photographer Terry Richardson,launched a collection.
